About Caparzo
This magnificent winery, approximately 90 hectares of vineyards of the Caparzo winery, are located in the locality of the same name, within the municipality of Montalcino. Located in a hilly area, at an altitude ranging from 220 to 270 meters above sea level, the vineyards are raised on different types of soil; some, in fact, as in the case of those located in La Casa, are of a shale-clayey formation. Since 1970, the Caparzo winery represents one of the 12 historic cellars of Montalcino and is among those that have contributed most to the creation of the Brunello myth. Purchased in 1998 by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, the company has since undergone a radical change that has led it, over time, to equip itself with a new aging cellar completely underground, and also, thanks to some careful acquisitions. A constantly growing company, Caparzo uses the most modern technology to get the most out of nature without resorting to chemistry. The winery is in fact equipped with a state-of-the-art laboratory that allows you to monitor both the degree of ripeness of the grapes and all the various stages of vinification and aging of the wines. Forty years later, the company has grown in respect for the Brunello tradition and has also been able to enhance its wines with a creative spirit and desire for innovation. Today, the taste of Caparzo can be appreciated in more than 40 countries for their constancy of quality as well as for being a faithful and elegant expression of the territory of origin.
