About Amiot Servelle

Domaine Amiot-Servelle is a family-run wine estate located in Chambolle-Musigny, within Burgundy’s prestigious Côte de Nuits region. The estate’s roots date back to 1920, when Elisabeth Amiot’s grandfather began cultivating vines in the village. In 1980, Elisabeth and Christian Amiot took over the family vineyards, and in 1989, the domaine became Amiot-Servelle to reflect the union of their two families. Today, their children, Prune and Antoine, have joined the domaine, continuing the family tradition with a focus on authenticity, respect for terroir, and sustainable practices.

The estate covers 8 hectares, primarily in Chambolle-Musigny, with additional holdings in Morey-Saint-Denis and Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. The vineyards are spread across prestigious appellations, including Chambolle-Musigny Village, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru (Les Charmes, Les Amoureuses, Les Plantes, Les Feusselottes), Morey-Saint-Denis, and Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. The domaine’s philosophy centers on expressing the unique character of each terroir, with a deep commitment to organic viticulture. Since 2003, the vineyards have been cultivated organically, and the domaine received organic certification in 2008, making it one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in Chambolle-Musigny.

In the vineyard, work is meticulous and respectful of the environment. The team practices manual plowing, grassing, and careful canopy management to encourage biodiversity and soil health. Harvesting is done by hand to ensure only the best grapes are selected. The winemaking process is gentle and precise, beginning with careful sorting of the fruit. Fermentation occurs with native yeasts, and there is minimal intervention to preserve the integrity of the grapes. The wines are aged in French oak barrels, with a thoughtful approach to the use of new oak, allowing the nuances of each vineyard to shine through without being masked by wood.

Domaine Amiot-Servelle’s wines are celebrated for their elegance, finesse, and purity. The Chambolle-Musigny wines, in particular, are known for their delicate floral aromas, silky textures, and vibrant red fruit character. The Premier Crus, such as Les Amoureuses and Les Charmes, display complexity and depth, with subtle mineral notes and remarkable aging potential. The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is structured and powerful, offering layers of dark fruit, spice, and earthy undertones. Each wine reflects the domaine’s dedication to traditional Burgundian methods and respect for nature.

The estate welcomes visitors by appointment, offering tastings and tours that provide insight into their winemaking philosophy and the unique terroirs of Chambolle-Musigny. Domaine Amiot-Servelle’s commitment to quality, environmental stewardship, and family heritage has earned it a loyal following among wine lovers and collectors worldwide. The domaine continues to evolve, blending tradition with innovation, as the next generation carries forward the legacy of excellence established by previous generations.
