Marc Kreydenweiss is a distinguished wine producer from Alsace, France, whose dedication to biodynamic viticulture and terroir-driven wines has made a significant impact on the region’s winemaking landscape. The Kreydenweiss family has been rooted in the village of Andlau since the 17th century, with Marc representing the fourth generation to oversee the family estate. One of Marc’s defining decisions was to convert the estate to biodynamic farming in 1989, making Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss one of the early adopters of this holistic approach in Alsace. Marc’s approach in the cellar is minimalist, relying on indigenous yeasts, long fermentations, and careful aging in large, old oak barrels to preserve purity and nuance.
The wine range includes classic Alsatian varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Blanc, with a particular emphasis on dry styles that highlight minerality and structure. Together, they expanded their winemaking ventures to the Costières de Nîmes in the southern Rhône, establishing Domaine des Perrières, where they craft elegant, Mediterranean-influenced wines that complement their Alsatian portfolio.
