About Marc Kreydenweiss

The estate is located in Andlau, Alsace, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, in the Piedmont part of the Vosges. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, the vineyard enjoys a continental climate and shares a mosaic of terroirs that are completely opposed in their geology: pink sandstone from the Vosges, black schist, blue schist (Clos du Val d 'El on and Clos Rebberg), and marl-limestone-sandstone. Marc Kreydenweiss passed on his passion for wine, terroirs, and biodynamics to his children. Antoine Kreydenweiss took over the reins of the Alsatian vineyard in 2007 accompanied by Charlotte, their daughters Zo , Lilou, and L onie, the team, and his Comtois horse. Together they show the same passion: to produce wines with a personality by highlighting the soul of each of its terroirs. The Domaine includes 13.5 hectares of vines, including the 3 Grands Crus of Andlau: Wiebelsberg, Moenchberg, and Kastelberg. Another grand cru: the Kirchberg de Barr has joined the diverse range of the estate. The vinification is carried out most naturally, respecting the balance of each wine. Each year, some 120,000 bottles are produced. The domain's reputation is worldwide, present in Japan, the United States, Norway, throughout Europe, and of course in France. The winemaker calls on a different artist each year to illustrate the labels. By combining the creativity of the artist and the know-how of the winegrower, each bottle is transformed into a unique piece. Biodynamics applied since 1989 is an integral part of the activities of the estate.
