Domaine Sylvain Morey winery
Sylvain Morey is a winemaker from Chassagne-Montrachet. He inherited his vineyards from his father, who still owns some himself and gave one third each to his daughter Caroline and son Sylvain. He previously worked in the Luberon before returning to his homeland. He makes his wines under his own name and puts his very own stamp on them. He relies on a longer barrel aging compared to the use of new wood, his wines are fresh and elegant, the alcohol content is rather moderate. Unlike his father, he plans to keep the domaine rather small, so his portfolio is not as extensive as Jean-Marc Morey's.
