Owned by the Antinori family since 1999, the estate covers over 270 hectares, with approximately 170 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The property’s unique geographical position, nestled between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, provides an ideal environment for viticulture. The name “Le Mortelle” derives from the wild myrtle bushes native to the area, highlighting the estate’s deep connection to its natural surroundings.

The vineyards at Le Mortelle are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and a selection of white grape varieties such as Vermentino, Ansonica, and Viognier.
