San Giorgio winery
Tenuta San Giorgio is a reality that sees the light thanks to an intuition of Guido Folonari, heir to one of the historic Italian wine families, who in the first months of 2001 decided to develop a project of great quality and ambition in some of the most fascinating territories of Italian wine. This is how three different estates were born in Barolo, Piedmont, Bolgheri and Montalcino, in Tuscany. What was I looking for? I didn't know either. Certainly a place that thrilled me, I was lucky enough to find three , he says just over ten years later. In particular, that of Castelnuovo dell'Abate is a project that was immediately able to better interpret the name that surrounded it thanks to the absolute rigor that was applied to every single part of the production process. The Brunello born in the San Giorgio cellar stands out for its elegance, so complex and velvety. Not only that, in the Montalcino estate, a solid Red and an interesting Typical Geographical Indication wine are also produced, an assembly of cabernet sauvignon and syrah that demonstrates all the value of one of the greatest Italian wine territories.
