Feudi di San Gregorio winery
Feudi San Gregorio believes in the attention to detail both in the vineyard and in the cellar, in patience and long waits to follow the slow rhythms of nature, because only in this way are the true works of art and wines of the Feudi San Gregorio winery born. Aided by a unique territory of its kind, the winery is located in a wine-growing area of excellence, Irpinia. Here, the Campanian Apennines have always surrounded and hosted vineyards, orchards, woods, and olive trees, thanks to the particular and favourable pedoclimatic environment, made up of mountains and hills, short but rigid and rainy winters, followed by long and hot summers. The soils are of volcanic origin, then characterized by clays or limestone rocks depending on the micro-zone and the vineyards, which extend for over 300 hectares between those owned and those rented. The cultivated vines are the classic and native ones, such as Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, and Aglianico, true protagonists of Irpinia viticulture and its winemaking tradition. Among the most important 'works' of the Feudi di San Gregorio winery we find the Greco di Tufo DOCG 'Cutizzi', characterized by an elegant, taut and savoury sip, the fruity and refined Fiano di Avellino DOCG 'Pietracalda', with intense mineral puffs on the background, the Falanghina del Sannio Serrocielo , a fresh and vibrant white, yet delicate and complex both on the nose and on the palate and the Aglianico Irpinia DOC Dal Re ; all award-winning by national and international critics and all united by the incredible value for money.
