Fanti winery
The Estate extends across 260 hectares (650 acres) of land owned by the Fanti family since the beginning of the 1800. 55 hectares of vineyards, 60 hectares of olive trees and 145 hectares of crops and forest are all located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate and surround the new wine cellar built in 2004. The vineyards are located at between 150 and 430 m a.s.l. , they all have different exposures and they are situated around the wine cellar with a maximum distance of 3 km. The soil has a volcanic origin and it is rich in skeleton, which is made of galestro and alberese rocks. Due to the low fertility of the land and the uniqueness of the terroir, the vines have a limited production of grapes and the wines produced have rare organoleptic characteristics.
