Elena Fucci winery
The vineyards were bought by Elena s grandfather, Generoso, in the 1960s in Basilicata, at the foot of Mount Vulture (an extinct volcano). With a strong focus on sustainable farming, Fucci allows nature to take its course, rejecting any use of chemicals on the vines. This is also evident in the vinification process where the cellar is built next to a tunnel dug in volcanic rock using recycled materials, as well as using minimal to zero impactful energy consumptions. The wines are characterised by the sunlight of the south and the temperature disparity between night and day giving it a certain acidity. They are also unfiltered maintaining the authenticity of the grapes. With a production of 15,000 bottles per year, Fucci has established herself as a consistent and unique winery.
