Domaine de la Solitude, located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhône Valley, is a historic family estate with roots dating back to the 17th century. The Lançon family, descendants of the Barberini family from Italy, have managed the estate for nine generations, blending tradition and innovation in their winemaking. The estate’s emblem, the three bees, pays homage to its Barberini ancestry, reflecting a commitment to heritage and excellence.
The vineyards of Domaine de la Solitude span 38 hectares in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation and 24 hectares in Côtes du Rhône. The terroir is characterized by its iconic galets roulés (rounded pebbles), sandy soils, and clay-limestone subsoils, which contribute to the complexity and elegance of the wines.
