Buisson-Charles is a family-owned wine estate located in Meursault, at the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune. Today, the estate is managed by Catherine and Patrick Essa, who continue the family tradition with a focus on respect for the land, meticulous vineyard work, and precise winemaking.

The estate cultivates approximately 6.5 hectares of vines, with a particular emphasis on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their holdings include prestigious parcels in Meursault, such as Meursault Vieilles Vignes, Meursault Les Tessons, Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes, and Meursault 1er Cru Les Bouches-Chères, as well as vineyards in Volnay, Pommard, Corton, and Chassagne-Montrachet. The diversity of terroirs allows Buisson-Charles to produce a broad range of wines, each reflecting its origin’s character and complexity.

Vineyard management at Buisson-Charles follows sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. The estate avoids herbicides and chemical fertilizers, opting for traditional plowing, organic amendments, and careful canopy management to promote healthy vines and balanced yields.
