About Tenuta Luce
Luce Della Vite is the direct translation to the light of life , but the more accurate translation is the light that gives life , and it is an obvious reference to the sun itself, which gives life to this beautiful vinery and everything around it. Of the 77 hectares of vineyards owned by Luce Della Vite, 5 are registered in the Brunello di Montalcino register; there the grapes for Luce Brunello are born, a tribute to that sublime wine born in Montalcino in the second half of the 19th century. Luce Della Vite by Frescobaldi has reached its twenty-fifth harvest. Super Tuscan appreciated all over the world, the first to be produced from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot in Montalcino, land of Brunello. Luce 2017 shows an intense ruby red colour, almost impenetrable. The nose shows intense hints of red fruit, a veiled presence of incense, and spicy notes that give the wine an extraordinary complexity. On the palate, we find this aromatic complexity supported by an elegant tannic texture that gives the wine a unique structure and balance. Refined for 24 months in oak barriques: 85% new, 15% second passage. This prestigious winery is another proof that Tuscany has the soil, aptitude, climate, and people to create ambrosia for wine lovers.
