About Elvio Cogno
The Elvio Cogno farm produces the great wines of the Langhe by conducting about fifteen hectares of owned vineyards in Novello, one of the eleven municipalities in the province of Cuneo where the production of Barolo Docg is allowed. Hills famous for their history, culture and beauty, recently recognized as a Unesco World Heritage Site. In the footsteps of the founder Elvio Cogno, Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore today collect the experience of over four generations of winemakers dedicated to obtaining wine excellence starting from a unique terroir, famous all over the world for its elegance, fabric and the balance of its wines. With four types of Barolo and eleven and a half hectares of vineyards in the locality of Ravera, Cogno is the most important winegrowing reality of the Additional Geographical Mention (MeGA) 'Ravera', the most renowned cru of Novello, recognized for the ability of its wines to resist at the same time keeping the scents and freshness unaltered.
