About Chateau du Domaine de l`Eglise

Owned and run by Denis Durantou since 1982, Chateau L Eglise has 5.5 hectares of vineyards located on the Pomerol plateau, near Bordeaux in France. Made up of 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec, they produce around 1,000 - 1500 bottles a year. It has recently been taken over by his wife and children due to his death in 2020, and continue his legacy. What makes Eglise unique is the age of the vines, some of which are up to 80 years old and the clay soil enriching the wine complexity and an aromatic taste, making it one of the best in Pomerol.
