About Philippe Bergeret

Le Domaine Philippe Bergeret is located in Pommard, near Volnay, in the heart of the C te de Beaune. In the highest and lowest part of the hill, the wines with the Appellation Village are produced, while in the central area the prestigious Premier Cru are collected. Philippe Bergeret fully expresses the character of Pommard's artisan vigneron, which cultivates 4 hectares of old vines spread over 9 different plots. The setting of the cellar is in the name of tradition, with careful and scrupulous work in the vineyard, with the utmost respect for the environment. The wines have the typical characteristics of the terroir. The soils are made up of calcareous marl particularly suitable for the cultivation of pinot noir, which in this area has characteristics of good structure, balance, and elegance. Philippe Bergeret fully expresses the vigneron character of the village of Pommard, a hamlet of 600 inhabitants immersed in 355 hectares of Pinot Noir vineyards. Bergeret who is a historic winemaker employed at the legendary Hospice de Beaune, owns 4 ht of old vines spread over 9 different plots of the Finage de Pommard. The faithfully agricultural setting of the viticultural work finds its completion in the historic and ancient cellar where the wines, with judicious slowness, find their personality. Le Domaine Philippe Bergeret has it all, the land, the climate the energy, and dedication which can be seen in every drop of wine they produce.
