About Le Chiuse
Le Chiuse, is a historical winery that is covered with 8 hectares of prestigious vineyards. It was built in 1840 and restored at the end of the 1990s. It is located on the slopes of Montalcino, surrounded by beautiful nature and woodlands. Furthermore, the property overlooks Tuscany's characteristic rolling hills which is an exception view to possess. The position is ideal to visit as the area is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, additionally, the picturesque village produces 25,000 bottles of wine per year. The Le Chiuse farm also boasts an important history: already in the 1700s owned by the Biondi Santi family, has always been an extraordinary wine-growing company in Montalcino. It is here where the first Brunello Riserva Biondi Santi was born. Since 1986, Simonetta Valiani, nephew of Tancredi Biondi Santi, has been at the helm, who together with her husband Nicol Magnelli and son Lorenzo, gave an important turning point to the family establishment. Organic farming, very low yields, long macerations, planting of new vineyards from old vines, a new underground cellar and a few very high-quality labels has helped the winery to establish a strong foothold among the best. The results obtained throughout the years, confirm that the right choices were made all through and made sure that comparatively: Brunello di Montalcino, Brunello Riserva and Rosso di Montalcino by Le Chiuse are wines that cannot be forgotten.
