Tardieu-Laurent is a highly respected négociant and winemaking partnership based in the Rhône Valley, founded in 1996 by Michel Tardieu and Dominique Laurent. Unlike traditional domaines that own vineyards, Tardieu-Laurent specializes in sourcing exceptional fruit from some of the region’s oldest and most prestigious vineyard sites. Michel Tardieu, a former civil servant with an intense passion for wine, brings a meticulous approach to selecting growers and parcels, focusing on low yields and old vines, often between 50 and 100 years old. Dominique Laurent, originally a pastry chef and later a celebrated Burgundy négociant, contributed his expertise in élevage and barrel selection, although he has since stepped back from daily operations, leaving Michel Tardieu as the driving force.

The philosophy at Tardieu-Laurent centers on expressing the unique terroir of each appellation. The team works closely with growers across both the Northern and Southern Rhône, including appellations such as Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras.
