About Domaine David Duband
'Distinctive and elegant wines, with aromas of flowers and spices. Burgundies with finesse and power, delicate and intense Clos de la Roche, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Proc s, Gevrey-Chambertin, Hautes-C tes de Nuits... The Domaine David Duband lies in Chevannes, in the heart of the Hautes-C tes de Nuits and produces refined and elegant wines from 23 prestigious appellations from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate farms 17 hectares of vines organically, under the strict management of the Ecocert label. The Domaine Duband also buys grapes from a few small vinegrowers who farm with great respect for the vines and of their surrounding environment. Since 2008 he has vinified his wines using whole clusters of grapes as the noble bitterness of the stems adds a certain refinement and elegance to pinot noir. Domaine Duband stopped using weed killers and began to work the soils in 1998. He uses natural or planted cover crops to fight against erosion and improve the structure of the soil by promoting the activity of microorganisms naturally present in the environment of the vine. Pruning is done with great precision to limit yields, concentrate aromas and to allow the vine to express the best of the climate in the C te de Nuits be it in Vosne-Roman e, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin, or Nuits-Saint-Georges... David Duband forces himself to use only products free of synthetic molecules. For the cultivation of the vine, he uses materials of natural origin and seeks to promote the natural struggle between species.
