About Domaine Bernard Dugat Py
The Dugat family have been making wine in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, Eastern France, since the beginning of the 17-century. The thirteen generations of wine-makers ensure organic farming on vines that are over 65 years old, and in keeping with tradition, Dugat-Py wines age their products in 11th and 12th century cellars for 18-24 months. Focusing their efforts on ensuring the highest quality wines, Dugat-Py replant from their own vine stock, refusing to buy grapes from elsewhere or cloning. With low intervention and unfiltered bottling, a concentrated yet balanced taste comes through, where ageing for 5-8 years is optimal.
