About Chateau Rayas
The cult winery Ch teau Rayas is one of the best and most sought-after wineries in Ch teauneuf-du-Pape and has long been one of the best wineries in France. The twelve hectare 'small' winery has been owned by the Reynaud family since 1880. While most of the appellation's wines are composed of an abundance of different grape varieties, the red Rayas consists only of Grenache grapes. The style of a great Raya is characterized by freshness and finesse that is rarely found in other wines from the Ch teauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Die-hard Rayas fans love the Burgundian aspect of this wine, which, despite its high degree of rotation, actually appears 'leaner' and more finesse.
