About Tardieu Laurent
Michel Tardieu and Dominique Laurent (Domaine Laurent in Burgundy), two great connoisseurs of the world of wine, teamed up and created a 'Maison de n goce'. A company that in the last 25 years has considerably influenced the development and evolution of Rh ne wines, setting its own style, selecting and raising small batches of wines from a large number of denominations of origin, from the most famous to the most confidential. Today the Tardieu family has taken over and runs the winery 100%. The winery was installed in an old and magnificent building in Lourmarin, Luberon, and currently, they have a new cellar where they outline their very limited productions of wines from different denominations of origin. Its wines reflect the character of the cru from which they come, harbor great potential and are full of aromatic nuances, depth and a surprising mouthfeel. The aging of the great cuv es is enriched by the contribution of special Tron ais Dom. Laurent oak barrels that are made with wood selected from Tron ais by Dominique Laurent himself. The wines are bottled with minimal doses of SO2, without any type of filtering or cold stabilization, to preserve the character and the terroir of origin of each wine to the maximum. Their wines are sold at the forefront and are of very limited availability. Michel Tardieu also advises the Mas Alta winery in La Vilella Alta (Priorat) where he makes the most of the mineral character of the terroir and obtains fragrant, fine and powerful wines that are surpassed year after year.
