The R gnard house is one of the oldest in Chablis, it was founded in 1860 by Z phyr R gnard. Respectful of the great tradition of Chablis wines, this house presents a complete range of all the wines made in this town. Seven Grands Crus , or great premium wines: Les Clos, Bougros, Blanchots, Grenouilles, Preuses, Valmur and Vaud sir. In 1984 the house was bought by Baron Patrick de Laudocette, the owner, in the Loire Valley, of the famous Pouilly Fum de Laudocette. A major modernization of the wineries, stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, stabilization of the wines by cold, bottling under neutral gas, etc as well as the purchase of vineyards, have allowed guaranteeing the high quality of each of the wines elaborated. Each Chablis R gnard presented has been vinified and aged according to the principles of the house. Long aging in bottle, necessary for the First Crus and the Great Crus , gives these Chablis a character of revelation and elevates them to their most beautiful expression. Its production is 100% assured by its own vineyards and the rest comes from the purchase of grapes from some fifty winegrowers linked by contract to the house for many years.
