The name "Vougeraie" comes from Vougeot, the heart of the estate, reflecting its connection to the region's most esteemed terroirs. Today, the domaine covers 44 hectares, including 10 hectares of Grand Cru and 13 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards, stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Puligny-Montrachet. These plots represent a mosaic of Burgundy’s greatest appellations, including Clos Vougeot, Bonnes Mares, Musigny, Charmes-Chambertin, and Corton Clos du Roi.
