About Thierry Fournier
The vineyards of Champagne Thierry Fournier are spread over 11 villages in the heart of the Vall e de la Marne. 45 individual parcels provide a wide variety of grapes for Thierry Fournier's wonderfully aromatic champagnes. The sites around the village of Festigny are a special feature. The vines here grow on very calcareous soils, which is very untypical for the Marne Valley. This ensures a special freshness in the champagnes. Thierry Fournier champagnes impress with their aromatic and wonderfully soft character. When working in the cellar, Thierry Fournier relies entirely on the time factor. Every champagne is stored on the yeast for at least four years. This longer maturation period gives the champagnes more structure and power. The fruit of the Meunier is complemented by wonderfully subtle toasted and aged notes. In 2020, a new chapter begins at Thierry Fournier with Julien and his brother Maxime. The two belong to the new face of Champagne. It is a young generation that is characterized by its independent identity, an oenological creativity and a strong ecological responsibility. We look forward to seeing how they will implement their ideas and vision.
